Maria Val is a Senior Scientist at Gyala Therapeutics, where she leads preclinical activities supporting the development and expansion of the CAR-T program GYA01. Her role involves coordinating scientific efforts across preclinical research and contributing to the advancement of the program in close collaboration with R&D, clinical, and regulatory teams.
She holds a PhD in Biomedical Research from Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona) and has a background in preclinical and translational oncoimmunology. Prior to joining Gyala, Maria conducted translational research at the Vall d’Hebron Institute of Research (VHIR) and at the Fundació Recerca Clínic Barcelona–August Pi i Sunyer Biomedical Research Institute (FRCB-IDIBAPS).
